Paintings by Alan Brash
Alan Brash is a Glasgow-based figurative painter whose main body of work explores queer identity, memory, and the interior life across three interconnected bodies of practice. Each series is developed through studio research, resulting in paintings that function both as individual works and as chapters within a larger autobiographical narrative. Brash holds a Master of Letters in Fine Arts Practice from the Glasgow School of Art and exhibits. Works are available for acquisition, and the studio welcomes enquiries from curators, collectors, and organisations interested in commissioning new work. Commission a Painting
Alan Brash accepts a limited number of commissions each year. A commission is an opportunity to work directly with the artist on a painting conceived specifically for you — whether a portrait, a response to a place or experience, or a work developed through conversation. Commissions are undertaken with the same depth of research and studio practice as the exhibited work. To discuss a commission, timescale and pricing, please get in touch.
